India has 28 States and 8 Union Territories (UTs).
Each State has its own government, governed by a Chief Minister.
Each Union Territory is smaller and directly governed by the Central Government.
India States:
Large regions with their own elected governments.
States are divided into districts.
India Union Territories (UTs):
Smaller regions, often important for strategic, cultural, or historical reasons.
Some UTs are governed directly by the President of India through an Administrator.
India Districts:
Districts are the local level of administration.
Each district has a District Collector or Magistrate.
Districts are further divided into taluks/tehsils and then into villages or towns.
