Qualifying in one of the national entrance tests like Qualified in JGEEBILS 2026 (or) DBT-JRF-A / ICMR-JRF /DBT-BINC / UGC-CSIR JRF / DST-INSPIRE-JRF (or)
In GATE -Life Sciences, Biotechnology, Computer Science and IT, Chemistry, Ecology and Evolution. (or) Any other national fellowship is desirable.
Fellowship:
Upon selection and subsequently joining the PhD program, candidates who do not possess any CSIR, DBT, and INSPIRE will be eligible for institute fellowship.
Eligibility Criteria:
- IISER Tirupati, Applications are invited from eligible applicants for admission to IISER Tirupati PhD Admission 2027.
- Students with a minimum 55% marks in aggregate or CGPA 6.0 on a 10-point scale in a Master’s degree in any branch of Science Physics/ Chemistry/Biological Sciences/ Ecological Sciences/Agricultural Sciences.
- M.E/ M.Tech/ M.VSc or MBBS degree or any equivalent degree.
- Candidates with BE/B.Tech degree in Biotechnology, Biochemical Engineering, Chemical Engineering, and Biomedical Engineering with a minimum 60% marks in aggregate or a CGPA of 6.5.
- IISER BS-MS (All IISERs) Dual degree students with CGPA >= 8.0 are eligible.
Selection Process:
Based on the performance in the in-person interview.
The shortlisted candidates will be called for an interview.
TA will be provided to the SC/ST/PWD students.
Candidates will be shortlisted for the in-person interview based on their performance in the National Entrance Test and/or the qualifying degree.
